TEMPURA, REIMAGINED: ALISHA WONG'S STORY

I’m Alisha Wong, founder of Ms. Wong’s. I am also co-owner of Mr. Wong’s Chicken & Rice, a Dallas staple my dad started back in 1989. I spent my childhood in the kitchen with my dad, learning from him how great tempura is made and how food has the power to connect people.


Over the years, I’ve spent countless hours experimenting, testing, and obsessing over tempura.  I realized while tempura was second nature to me, most people only ever enjoy it at a restaurant. Ms. Wong’s changes that. Our tempura mix is designed for home cooks who want that restaurant-quality experience without needing to be a pro. It is flavor-packed, versatile, and customizable, whether you are crisping up chicken, veggies, or even dessert.


My purpose is simple: to make cooking feel fun, creative, and a little magical. Every batch is an invitation to play, share, and discover something new. Because when you are in the kitchen, it is not just about the food, it is about the joy of creating something delicious that brings people together.
